Process

1. Determine what you keep in your pockets.
2. Print the below document out. It is a gridwork laid out in 0.25″ squares. Color in with any color, the outline of each item, one at a time. Now go back and color in all of the squares that are either a) touched by the line or b) inside of the line you just drew. You may need to print more than one of these off. I did it this way because if you just print it (no scaling please!) the squares stay that 0.25″. This way, when you do step 3, I’ll have everything to scale on my end. Keep in mind size constraints from the wood options. Currenlty, an Empty Pockets™ is made from pine wood, with a normal width of 5.50″.

3. Text or email me your finished work. Label each location that you colored in from Step 2, with a number. Correspond the number in your email or text with a description and the desired depth of the cutout. To give an example, a wallet sits upright nicely with a 0.75″ depth cut, same for a phone.
